Arkansas City Middle School Scholars Bowl students had a strong showing at the Haysville tournament, with the 7th-grade team earning first place and the 8th-grade team finishing second. Their teamwork and sportsmanship stood out.

Arkansas City Middle School held its City Spelling Bee, and students did an outstanding job. The top four finishers will represent ACMS at the Cowley County Spelling Bee in February. We are proud of all who participated.

Ark City voters will decide the future of local schools on Nov. 4, 2025. Two proposed bond measures would improve safety, modernize classrooms, and expand early childhood education across USD 470 — with 30% state aid offsetting costs. Proposition 1 funds major additions at Arkansas City Middle School and districtwide upgrades, while Proposition 2 would build a new Pre-K Center (contingent on Prop 1 passing).
