I graduated from Windsor High School in 2008. In the fall of that same year, I began attending Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English, as well as certification to teach grades 5-12 in Missouri and grades 7-12 in Kansas.

As long as I am a teacher, I will remain a learner. Learning takes many forms; it may mean going to workshops and attaining a Master's degree, or it may be as simple as discovering some new tidbit of information each day. Either way, I'm devoted to being a lifelong learner, and I hope to instill this same desire in my kiddos.
This year will be my third here at ACMS. I began teaching eighth grade English at ACMS in 2013 as a first-year teacher.
Before I began teaching, I woked with developmentally delayed individuals as a certified medication aid.
My folks live in mid-Missouri, where my dad is a pastor. My sister Rachel, her husband, and their two kids live there also, while my brother and his wife live in southern Missouri with their kids. My parents, my siblings, and I lived in Texas until I was six, then moved to a dinky town in southern Missouri of only 350 people. When I was ten we moved again, this time to Windsor, Missouri where I spent the rest of my youth. I'm very close to my family and miss them terribly, but I get to visit fairly often.
So, here's a little bit about me:
I'm fairly outgoing, though I'd consider myself an introvert. I love traveling and spending time with friends and family. Spring is my favorite season, and I'm a (big) dog person. I'm also a coffee addict and tend to march to the beat of my own drum. Some of my hobbies include reading, fishing, singing, and shooting pool. Most of my spare time is spent with my boyfriend Benjamin and his daughter Sophia; they're wonderful! I've also acquired a couple new interests lately - learning to play the piano and really immersing myself in photography. Maybe some day I'll play you a tune. Till then, here are some of the pictures I've taken:
